Shipping Policy

Last updated: 9/12/2025

Flowers Online ships fresh, flowers nationwide using trusted courier partners. Our aim is to deliver high-quality blooms to your door in the fastest and most reliable way possible. This policy outlines how our shipping process works.

1. Shipping Areas

We currently deliver New Zealand-wide, including:

  • All major cities and towns

  • PO Boxes are not supported for fresh flower deliveries

  • If your address is not serviceable by our courier partners, we will contact you to arrange an alternative.

2. Delivery Timeframes

  • We dispatch orders on Wednesday Monday to Friday for overnight delivery on Thursday.

  • Orders are not dispatched on public holidays and this will be re-communicated at the appropriate time.

  • Orders placed after cut-off will be dispatched on the next two week cycle

3. Shipping Costs

Standard urban delivery: $10

4. Order Processing and Dispatch

  • Orders received before our weekly cut-off (7 days prior to delivery) are packed and dispatched the following week, or up to 4 weeks after depending on customer preference.

  • During peak periods (Mother’s Day, Christmas, Valentine’s Day), processing times may be longer.

  • We handle all flowers carefully, using protective packaging designed to keep stems fresh in transit.

  • You may pause, skip, or update details via your account or by contacting us.

5. Delivery Issues and Delays

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive tracking information.
Please note:

  • Courier delays due to weather, road closures, or high-volume periods are outside our control.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the delivery address is correct.

  • Couriers may leave the parcel in a safe place if no one is home (authority to leave). This helps keep flowers fresh and avoids re-delivery delays.

If your parcel is significantly delayed or has not arrived within the expected timeframe, contact us at:

hello@flowersonline.co.nz

We will follow up with the courier provider on your behalf.

6. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

As flowers are a perishable product, it is important you inspect your delivery upon arrival.

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect, or of unsatisfactory quality:

  • Notify us within 24 hours of delivery

  • Provide clear photos of the issue

  • Include your order number and contact details

  • We will arrange a replacement, credit, or refund where appropriate.

7. Authority to Leave (ATL)

Most flower deliveries are sent with Authority to Leave to prevent courier delays and keep flowers fresh.

By placing an order, you agree that the courier may leave your parcel in a safe location at the delivery address. FlowersOnline is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage after delivery has been completed.
